COACHES CORNER

Coach Palmer is a 1998 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. During his high school career he was the team’s captain as well as a two time District qualifier.  After high school, Coach Palmer attended Elizabethtown College to study English Education.  He served as a volunteer assistant for the Blazers during his college years.  Prior to taking over as head coach at Boone, Coach Palmer served as an assistant coach for the Central Dauphin wrestling team.  This is Coach Palmer’s third year as Boone’s head coach and his Fourth year as a Daniel Boone employee

Coach Shutt is a 2002 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. During his high school career, where he wrestled under Coach Dane Miller, he was a two time team captain as well as a three time District qualifier. During his freshman and junior year he was awarded All Division status at 103 and 119. Also during his freshman year he was named the counties Ironman Award for most pins in the least amount of time. After high school, Coach Shutt attended McDaniel College to study Business Administration and Sports Management.  He wrestled one year for the Green Terror. He then served as a volunteer assistant for the Blazers during the remainder of his college years. This is Coach Shutt's first year as Boone's assistant coach and also his first year as a Daniel Boone employee.
